Article 8, Paragraph 3 of the Civil Procedures Law

Article 8, Paragraph 3 of the Civil Procedures Law dictates that when the official language of the defendant’s nationality is not Arabic, the plaintiff is obligated to furnish an officially certified translation of the legal notice in English unless there exists a prior mutual agreement to employ an alternative language. Noncompliance with the requirement to provide an officially certified translation in English can result in the nullification of legal notices, potentially compromising the party’s legal entitlements.

تنص المادة 8 فقرة 3 من قانون الإجراءات المدنية على أنه إذا كانت اللغة الرسمية لجنسية المدعى عليه غير اللغة العربية، يلتزم المدعي بأن يرفق بالإعلان ترجمة معتمدة له باللغة الإنجليزية، ما لم يكن هناك اتفاق سابق بين الأطراف على إرفاق الترجمة بلغة أخرى. إن عدم إرفاق ترجمة معتمدة باللغة الإنجليزية لمن لغتهم الرسمية ليست العربية، يمكن أن يؤدي إلى بطلان الإعلان القانوني، واحتمالية فقدان الطرف المعلن لحقوقه القانونية.
