Nawal had legal experience interning at legal firms in Dubai and London, whereby she had a diverse range of experiences in different fields. Some of the highlights are her involvement with a street law pro bono project conducting focused research, immersing herself, and learning about the complexities of cross-border transactions.
During her LLB, Nawal was involved with the Law Society, whereby she got involved with various projects and regularly attended court hearings as part of their Immigration research. Nawal has also volunteered with Cancer Research UK, Dubai Cares, and other volunteer groups and is passionate about community involvement.
Nawal has studied and lived in Kenya, Dubai, and London, fluent in Swahili, Somali, and English. Having an international background, her experiences have aided her ability to work effectively with a diverse group of people.
